Preparing to Move- Weekend 1!

I always knew that when we decided to actually move it was going to be a huge deal! You never realize how much stuff you have till its time to go through it! Thanks goodness Ronnie was home all weekend and we could get started! My goal was to have the girls rooms completely cleaned and organized! So I grabbed one of my favorite sitters and sent them out the door for a few hours!

I started on Haley's room knowing it was going to be the worst! This child has the hardest time letting anything go and is very good in hiding everything she has ever been given!

Most of this junk I found under her bed! It took me a good hour but I had this room in tip top shape!

Jordan's room was not near as bad.. but I asked her to pick up some stuff for me so that I could get started and this was her idea of picking up!

Needless to say she needs some guidance in this area! I so want to take down that side rail on her bed..it drives me crazy! The bedding never looks right but she is a crazy sleeper and when its not up there is a 99% chance she will end up on the floor in the middle of the night screaming cuz she fell off!

Her room didn't take me near as long..hoping it can stay this clean!

After hours of cleaning, organizing, and trashing tons of junk I actually started a pretty good garage sale pile! The key though is keeping the girls out of this stuff and convincing them they don't need any of this anymore!

All while I did this Ronnie had his hands full with cleaning the laundry room! It doesn't sound that bad but the builder had a great idea of putting 4 shelves in the laundry room for organization.. When in reality those shelves were really used for storing junk, all my craft supplies, too lazy to walk to the bedroom so lets sit it here junk and any other item we could fit on those shelves! Very disappointed I didn't get a before and after picture of this being it was probably the most challenging task of the day!

I can say that our first weekend of preparing to move was a success!!

Lion King!

Ronnie and I decided to take the girls to see the Lion King Saturday! It was a nice mental break from everything and the girls loved it! We don't get to do things like this very often with how much Ronnie is gone...so we definitely took advantage of the time! Jordan loved the idea of wearing the glasses until we actually got in the theater and the movie started. She was very confused as to why she needed them on.. all she kept saying was "mommy its not bright in here, I don't need them".. Maybe she wasn't ready for a 3-D movie.. She was more interested in her large "spite" and her candy! Haley was very into the movie the entire time and never took off her glasses! She is quite the pro at this by now....she did cry however a few minutes after the movie was over because she was so sad that Simba's father died. I assured her that everything was okay and it was just a movie.... (why must all the parents die in Disney movies!!)

Big news!!!

First off I am so excited I have big enough news to start blogging about it!! So get ready cuz the next 8 months will be filled with new updates!

Over the next 8 months the Beaty Family will be preparing to move to the wonderful state of Colorado! That's right...we are moving! Ronnie has taken on a new position with another company! This took weeks of praying, discussing, sleepiness nights, anxiety, and emotional talks for us to decide this was the best move for our family! We are so excited about this and freaked out at the same time! The best part is the answered prayers and wonderful support we have received from our family and friends!

Our first challenge is to sale the house!! This will include weekends full of cleaning and getting ready for the huge garage sale in hopes to get rid of half our stuff!! Of course Ronnie thinks we should sale it all and we would have less to move! Haha I'm a pack rat so getting rid of anything is going to be difficult for me!

The next week I plan on getting with a realtor and preparing our house to be listed!! Oh how I pray this is a simple process!
